Wings Over The Prairie Festival

We spent our Thanksgiving holiday with Brent’s family in Stuttgart, Arkansas and it was really AWESOME (f0r a Jersey guy like me, that is). The Thanksgiving holiday week is actually a huge deal for the town of Stuttgart, also known as “The Rice Capital of the World” (I like to say it in a Celine Dion accent and Brent gets very annoyed, so I do it as often as I can).

The Festival has tons of rides, food, and several tents devoted to hunters and crafts. It also hosts the Duck Calling World Championships (who knew?!) and a Duck Gumbo Cookoff.   We, of course, spent most of our time in the craft tents and discovered some really cool Arkansas Razorback-themed items. It was a lot of fun…here are a few pictures!

Holiday Door Hangers made out of sheet metal

Beautiful decoys and the must-have item for every Razorbacks fan!

A beautiful and very simple burlap wreath…we’ll probably try it!

We LOVED these Hog ornaments and bought one to take back home. We also really liked the bottle cap magnets…they’re really cute!

A door hanger that we want to have when the Hogs play in the Cotton Bowl next month!

Here’s a few more handcrafts being sold at the Festival that we thought were really cool!
